Operating Partner Marketing (m/f/d)

What you can expect in this role

  • You are a sparring partner to NCG’s portfolio companies as well as to NCG’s investment teams and your role is built on “servant leadership”
  • It essentially covers two areas of responsibility
    1. Support NCG’s due diligence processes e.g. by analyzing marketing strategies, understanding processes, evaluating teams
    2. Support NCG’s portfolio companies and NCG investment teams in defining and achieving their value-add plan through e.g. strong relationships/access to partners, support in execution, tracking, recruiting talent
  • You will analyze online marketing strategies of NCG’s portfolio companies, support their ongoing development and implementation
  • You are in continuous exchange with the CMOs and marketing executives of NCG portfolio companies and initiate, moderate and support the know-how exchange between these companies
  • Annual reviews and continuous advice regarding digital marketing channels of our portfolio companies are your daily business
  • Management of projects and the implementation and development of concepts, performance channels and KPI’s are a significant component of this role
  • You will work directly with NCG‘s investment teams as well as NCG’s portfolio companies’ management teams, i.e. CEOs, CMOs, COOs

Your essential experience and education

  • You have successfully completed an education in marketing, media or similar
  • You bring more than 10 years of experience in marketing roles (e.g. CMO, Head of Marketing, etc) within corporate and/or successful startups covering performance marketing, affiliate, social or strategy
  • While having empathy / a high EQ you also command a high level of energy which helps you to drive execution
  • Your deep operational experience gives you the necessary credibility to create impact by leading through others
  • You truly burn for new marketing trends and have a distinctive competence in digital business models / eCommerce as well as SEO/SEA and content marketing
  • You have a broad network with focus on FMCG, eCommerce or online and know new channels such as Whatsapp, Social Media, etc.
  • You are a teamplayer with a „can do“ attitude
  • You have fantastic problem solving skills and can convincingly present during meetings
  • You are mobile and prepared to travel
